Remote Shuttle Hiking, Private Waterfalls and Swimming Holes
This is a fantastic adventure for those wanting to get into remote and minimally traveled areas with ease.
SMG provides 2 vehicles and 2 guides to operate this outing. First, we set out to drop one vehicle at our ending destination on the way up the mountain before reaching our trailhead. Our trail begins at approximately 5200′ elevation and immediately starts descending into remote old growth forests as we use a path that was previously used by settlers and native Americans before the formation of the GSMNP. Our trip is approximately 3.5 miles in length an allows us to scramble to numerous pristine swimming holes and waterfalls that rarely are visited. While there are other more easily accessible falls in the park, we prefer the ones that our clients can have to themselves. Can you imagine taking a dip in a crystal clear pool in the heat of the summer and then, as you dry snacking on an assortment of fresh fruit? If so, this may be the trip for you. As we finish and arrive back to the van, we will be walking through a previously burnt wildfire area that was the area in which the Chimney II fire ignited in November of 2016.
*this trip only operates when all trails are opened in regard to wildfires.
Bring your own lunch to enjoy outdoors in the mountains, or order a wrap through SMG for $10.
